The purpose of chiropractic care is to restore proper neuro-biomechanics to the spine by removing subluxations. Subluxations are misaligned vertebrae with altered nerve function. This effect on the nervous system’s ability to receive and transmit information impacts one’s ability to adapt to stress. By restoring proper biomechanics and removing neurological interference in the spinal column the body is more efficient at sending and receiving signals via the nervous system which allows for better adaptation to a changing environment. Chiropractic care does not treat specific conditions but rather looks at how the body is functioning as a whole.
